Although ARPH charges an adoption fee for Aussies we place in new homes, this is never enough to cover our expenses. Ordinary vet costs (vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test and preventative, etc) often exceed adoption fees, and we never recoup the day-to-day, miscellaneous expenses of housing foster dogs. When we commit to a dog that requires special care or surgery, these costs can become exorbitant. Sometimes foster space isn't available, and we may need to board a dog temporarily. All of these costs quickly add up.

We need your help to be able to provide the best care possible for homeless Australian Shepherds. Giving a donation to our organization not only helps pay for ordinary expenses, but also helps us with our many extraordinary expenses.

Supporting an Individual Dog

Some people prefer to earmark their donation for a specific dog, and we welcome and encourage this. All of our dogs need help, but sometimes associating a face and name with your donation makes it more personal. You may sponsor a dog that needs boarding, help to pay for a dog's special needs, or just help us feed and care for a particular dog. Please read the biographies of our dogs, and if you can find it in your heart to help one of them, please let us know which dog you wish to support. Your name will be added to the dog's bio as the sponsor. Any donations that exceed the dog's expenses will be used to help other dogs through the general fund.

If you'd like to make a donation with your chequebook, Credit Card or Paypal Account, please visit ARPH's main page for Donations.
